10 Tips To Increase Sales On Your Website
“How do I drive more traffic to my website and increase sales?”
At some point, that thought crosses the mind of every entrepreneur selling online.
I’ve got a complete list of my best tips to boost sales from your website below.

1. Use emails to keep in touch.
There are many ways that you can improve or nurture a relationship with your customers. Email is a GREAT avenue for doing that! Most customers want to hear from you. They want to know about your latest product and when you are having a sale.
How often you touch base with your customers all depends on the product or service that you offer. You want to send emails just enough so that your customers remember your brand and who you are. But not so often that they feel the need to unsubscribe.
A great tool that I use to keep track of email metrics is Convertkit. It allows me to keep track of subscribers, unsubscribers, and most importably email open and click through rate. Knowing which subject lines gets opened and then which links in the email get clicked on, tells me what my customers are interested in and what they want to hear about from me.
All of these things helps me plan my email content better.

2. Collect customer reviews and testimonials
The online world has grown into a powerful platform for consumers to share and express their opinions. Your customers now have a much bigger impact as they can influence the public perception of a business.
Customer feedback is the proof that most people need to turn from prospects into customers.
Get reviews from previous happy clients and share it on your website and social media for other potential clients to see!
3. Test your sales pages
What if you could change just one element on your page and instantly increase your sales?
Perform a split-tests test on your sales page to see which one is working best and converting sales. You’d be surprised how much impact a little detail can have on conversion rates. A split test is a great way to see what resonates best with your clients, you can test different colors, different sizes of buttons, texts, layouts etc.
Some things work and some things just don’t.
Find out what is working for YOU.
4. Have legal pages on your website
People won’t buy from you if they don’t feel like they can trust you. How do they know that your website is not a scam? That their purchase is legit? That their personal information is being protected?
Having the proper legal pages that are required by law will help secure website sales.
Think about it, would you shop from places that had no polices posted or legal business information posted so that you knew how to get in touch with the company if there was an issue? Studies show that you likely would not.
5. Add a service to the product being sold
Offering your customers something extra with the product they’re purchasing will make them feel like they are getting a little extra bang for their buck.
People LOVE bonuses.
This could mean anything from personal customer support or a phone call to check up monthly or bi-monthly to see if they need restock. Be innovative, anything that won’t cost you a ton of extra time or money could be JUST the thing your client needs to sweeten the deal and purchase your product.
Differentiate yourself from the other. Be unique. Be attentive.
6. Know your visitors
Organize surveys or polls on your website and social media to get to know your clients better and ask them what problem they would like to resolve. This will allow you to get to know your visitors better and cater to their needs.
7. Try affiliate marketing
The idea behind affiliate marketing is that other people or brands promote your products. They would earn a commission if people actually end up buying your products due to their marketing.
I wrote an entire blog post about how business owners can go about starting an affiliate program for their businesses. I recommend you check it out for more helpful information to help you get started with affiliate marketing.
I have an affiliate program myself and on average it increases my sales by 20% a month.
8. Upsell
Cross-selling basically just means offering complementary products to your clients.
Think of cellphone stores selling cases with phones?
If you sell surfboards, also sell swim shorts.
The key for this method to work is to add value to your client by showing them that you truly know what they need. If you are still not sure what to sell or are needing some guidance, check out my 1:1 coaching here
9. Use product videos on your website
If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many words is a video worth?
According to a survey conducted by Animoto, online shoppers are 4 times more likely to watch a video description of a product than read a text description.
The point of a product video is to increase relatability with your customer. Text and images don’t always get this across as well. You want the video production to show emotion and honesty.
10. Make limited-time promotions & one-time offers
Anticipation – a powerful force that is sure to bring multitudes of customers clicking on your site.
A limited time offer is a perfect tool to maximize this sales-increasing factor by huge numbers.
It doesn’t matter if you ask your website visitors to hurry up or buy now. Without an actual cutoff time limiting their decision, they won’t hear a thing you say.
Limited-time offers create a sense of urgency and a need to cash in on a deal that seemingly everyone is cashing in on before it disappears and this is a powerful motivator for the consumer.
With These tips the clicks are bound to be rolling in in no time!
Now get out there and start owning that website! Which tip are you going to try? Let me know in the comments.
