Last Updated February 2022 by Crystallace

Hey Girl!

Just the other day I was collecting old magazines to start on my vision board? Do you do a vision board too ? Let me know in the comments.

Anyways, I love vision boards because they are great way to start manifesting what you want in your life. So I started working on my vision board and it was on my heart to write this blog post.

How to Manifest Something By Writing It Down and the Law of Attraction

As I progressed through my journey as a blogger, I started to spend more and more time on Pinterest and it was there where I was introduced to the Law of Attraction and manifestation.

BTW, are you following me on socials? Let’s keep in touch! I’m on Pinterest, IG, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok

I had been seeing “manifestation” it all over social media. And honestly, sometimes I felt left out because I wasn’t getting it. But then, I looked it up, read more about it, and all of a sudden I realized that I had been practicing it all along.

What exactly does manifesting mean?

Remember when you were asked what you want to be when you grew up, but then you made it happen?

For example, maybe you dreamed of becoming a pilot one day. Thirty years later, here you are, all dressed up for your first commercial flight to Paris as Captain.

A dream come true.

For me, I dreamed about becoming this Girl Boss lawyer and believe me it wasn’t an easy path for me but I did it. Before I even could conceptualize how to manifest something by writing it down, I was writing down that I want to be a lawyer in my grade school essays.

This is what manifesting means. Manifesting helps you attract whatever you want in life; career, relationships, money, the good life.

In other words, manifesting is believing, knowing, and working for what you want to achieve in life.

Can you really manifest things by writing then down?

Absolutely. Keep reading to learn just how to do that.

3 Reasons about why writing down it down really works

1.Writing creates a positive mind space and eliminates the limiting beliefs of self-doubt, career setbacks, debt, heartbreak, you name it.

There are so many reasons as to why our lives don’t work out as planned. Whether it is our fault or not, these series of failures can sometimes hold us down. Sometimes, it can even lead to mental health problems like anxiety and depression. Trust me, I have been there.

But when you start creating the habit of how to manifest something by writing it down, it sets the mood for you to get up and get to work.

Limiting beliefs can drain your physical energy and mental strength. I know, sometimes we just can’t help it, after all we’ve been through. At times, you just want to stay in bed for the rest of your life. But then again, this is the perfect time to start planning for getting out of a rut.

2. Writing provides clarity and focus.

Part of my morning routine is sitting on my chair, sipping coffee, and writing in my manifestation journal. I limit my screen time in the morning.

I love writing in my manifestation journal because it feels nostalgic to have a pen and paper on hand. Moreover, writing helps me clear my mind so I can focus on things that I want to accomplish for the day.

I am a firm believer that when you write something on paper you give the words life. The act of writing how you feel or your thoughts is so intentional you almost have no choice but to remember and believe what you write.

I get it, not all of us love to write but when it comes to how to manifest something by writing it down, writing is key. I bet some of you would rather use our laptop but I promise you pen and paper is better but either way, you’re off to a good start.

1. Have your materials ready

I’m talking pens, highlights, pencils, planners, stickers, a notebook, or journal, anything that sparks creativity.

Now, I’m not saying you have to hoard school supplies. Find tools that will motivate you in this journey.

If a simple notebook won’t work, I found these manifestation journals from Amazon that I think you might like:

2. Prepare a manifestation checklist or template.

A manifestation journal can certainly do this for you. But if you prefer a bullet journal or a notebook, you’re gonna have to do the templates yourself. Don’t worry, you will find lots of inspiration on Pinterest for this and Etsy had a ton you can choose from.

3. Choose a time of day for manifesting (and stick to it)

Mornings are great, but if you are a ‘queen of the night’, then manifesting at night sounds good, too. Do whatever works for you. Whenever you can find that peace and alone time, spend it on working towards becoming your best self.

4. Take action

We’re done with the easy part. This time, you need to start manifesting your goals by actually doing something about it.

Do you want to be 100% debt free by the end of the year? Then come up with a side hustle, open a separate bank account, and pay off your debt from there.

5. Practice gratitude

Every little win deserves to be recognized. Be thankful for that healthy breakfast you made for yourself today.

Be grateful for that old friend who DM-ed just to ask ‘how are you?” Be glad that by the end of the month, you paid your credit card in full.

All these things, they all matter.

So now that you know how to manifest something by writing it down, how many times do you write something to manifest it?

This depends on how bad you want it.

Write it everyday if it’s all you can think about and don’t feel silly for doing it. True story, when I was studying for the bar exam to become a lawyer, I wrote “I will pass the bar exam.” On whatever piece of paper I could find. I wrote it all over sticky notes and put them everywhere around my apartment. I mean they were everywhere from my Keurig, to my TV, to the bathroom mirror.

I drove my roommate nuts. I even wrote it like 40 times on a poster board and taped it to my door. Needless to say, I passed the bar exam and my roommate changed her tune and asked for my stick notes and then took my poster board and taped it to her door when it was time for her to take the exam.
