Hey Girl!
Valentine’s Day has came and went and Spring is the air. I have been busy planting flowers and trying to get some Spring cleaning and decluttering done.
But, I still wanted to get some St Patricks Day decorations going around the house because it seems like this holiday just comes and goes so quick.
‘Tis the season for green, gold, and Shamrock Shakes. While I am not Irish, I am from Chicago and St. Patrick’s Day is a huge part of our culture due to the large Irish population there.
For this holiday, I decided to just decorate the dining room table.
Back home people either celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by partying in the streets and attending Chicago’s world renowned parade or they enjoy a traditional dinner of Cabbage and Corned Beef at home.
Most restaurants serve Cabbage and Corned Beef this time of year as a meal to be enjoyed by families and it is delicious. The beef is so tender and then you save the leftovers and make sandwiches for the next day. That is what inspired my St Patricks Day decorations this year, a family style traditional dinner, enjoying Corned Beef and Cabbage.
Be sure to Pin 📌 this to your board for inspiration!

Chic St Patricks Day Decorations from Amazon
To start I set my dining room table for 4 and went a more Emerald Green for the table setting with specs of other shades of green.
Table Runner
I got this super cute Shamrock Table Runner from Amazon. It wasn’t too overwhelming for my taste but just right. It is this linen material with fringes with darker Shamrocks along the sides. It has more of chic vibe and it is perfect for my taste.
This table runner alone instantly transformed the room into St Patricks Day.
It did come wrinkled so I had to steam it with my hand held steamer. I keep this steamer downstairs so that I can steam my pillows, couch, curtains, and table runners. I recommend having it because you can’t always use an iron on certain materials.
I can’t stress this enough but don’t sleep on Amazon when it comes to holiday decor.

Why Amazon is my first stop for holiday decor:
- You don’t want to spend a lot of money especially if you love the holidays like me because that would really add up. Amazon is super cheap.
- You have a range of styles to choose from. Sometimes the stores just seem to have a super cheesy selection when it comes to holidays.
- You can often get different size selections. If you have ever been in a furniture store you know that no two houses have the same size table. I love that Amazon offers size selections.
- Super fast shipping.
- Easy returns.

Placemats
I found these woven placemats on clearance at Home Goods. I actually was looking for more natural classic woven round placemats but I stumbled across these and I decided to go with it because my dining room furniture is more of a lighter color.
I find that these placemats are fine for Spring and Summer holidays but I will probably invest in a darker set for the Fall and Winter.
Plate Chargers
I got these gold plate chargers from Amazon as well. I highly recommend these because they can work with just about any setting and color scheme out there.
Dinner Plates
I found these dinner plates at Home Goods. They are more of neutral pearl/gold color. I think that pretty much go with any color scheme.
Napkins
Emerald green table napkins from Amazon. They will need to be ironed or steamed. Maybe next year I will practice my folding and try to shape them like a Shamrock.
Napkin Rings
Chic Gold napkin rings from Amazon. Another starter staple that I highly recommend.
Goldware
I found this set from Home Goods. It consists of a fork, knife, and two spoons. It’s more. of a rustic gold but it fits my vibe.
What I have in the middle of the table:

I like to shop for holiday decor after the holiday because the stuff goes on sale. But sometimes, I am able to find things on sale before that. Like this little book stack that I got from Hobby Lobby and this bright green vase that I found at Home Goods.
Because my table is only set for 4, I don’t have a lot of things in the middle but I am excited to see what I find on the clearance racks after St. Paddy’s Day this year.
St Patricks Day Decorations Food Ideas
I set a snack board in the middle of table that I made. I talk about that more in this blog post. Be sure to check it out or Pin it for later because I share my best tips for building a healthy green snack board that you can make all year around!
I am also contemplating an attempt at a vegan Shamrock Shake. I will keep you posted on how that goes.

I hope you are inspired to create your own St Patricks Day Decorations this year. When you do, please tag me @heycrystallace I would love to see them.
